ABOUT

OUR BELIEFS AND VALUES

At Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Forest Lake, we seek to worship God faithfully within the Great Tradition, to care for the poor and needy, and to grow together as faithful disciples of Christ.

Our faith is based on the Holy Scriptures, the historic creeds of the church, and the Anglican Prayerbooks. These all hand down the faith once received. Our worship is traditional and liturgical, dedicated to both the Word of God preached, and the sacraments rightly administered, for in these Christ graciously ministers to us.

The Word of God forms us in such a way that we would love as we have first been loved by God. We are called to be the hands and feet of God in this world and to put love into action. We have a heart for our community and for the marginalised and outcast.

We are committed to growing faithful disciples of Christ. Our faith is a living faith, so we believe that everyone can have a personal encounter with our Lord Jesus. We also believe that the Word preached and received always brings about what it promises and so we seek to raise up disciples and nurture each other towards mature faith in Christ, resting only in His promises.
